What is Emaths?

Emaths is an entirely free to use website providing resources for teachers and students across all age groups.  The site was established in 2004 and now regularly attracts millions of visitors from the UK and overseas.  There is no subscription, no need to register and no catch.  Just mathematics teachers sharing with mathematics teachers.  Simple.


Do I need to register
There is no need to register on the site.  All resources are fully accessible to all site visitors.  However, registered users can upload their own resources and recieve updates from Emaths, ensuring the best experience from using the site.



How do I find a resource?
Use the menu at the top of the page to navigate to the section that you are intersted in.

 

Each section contains a file structure that you can explore.  For example, in the Number section you will find folders containing various resource topic areas

 

 

Click on the folder to open.

 

Once inside a folder, there will be the complete list of resourcs on the selected topic.  There may be some sub-folders too.  You can open a resource by clicking on it.

 

 

Since the resrouce bank is very large, you might like to make use of the "filter file list" box.

 

 

Here you can type a keyword for the resource you are looking for.  So, for instance, if you enter the word "equations", the file list when now only show resources related to equations.

 

 

How do I create a folder?
First, make sure you are signed in.

 

At the bottom of the page, you will find the create folder section.

 

 

Simply type the name of the folder as you would like it to appear and then click the create button

 



How do I upload a resource?
First, make sure you are signed in.

 

At the bottom of the page, you will find the upload a new resource section.

 

 

Use the browse button to locate the file that you wish to add and then click upload.  Please ensure that the name of your file is appropriately descriptive so that users can find it easily when searching the resources.  You might also like to include your name in the filename so that you are credited with the work.

 

How do I get in touch with Emaths?

Click on the "Contact" link at the top of the page and fill out the form.  Please note that Emaths is not always able to reply to individual emails.
